Year 12 Lifelong Learning Workshops

As part of their wider, personal education, our Year 12 students have been taking part in some lifelong learning workshops with an outside company called "Confident Happy Kids". The students have been looking at how to create a positive mindset, how to solve problems and how to manage challenge situations. The students have worked extremely hard to develop their understanding of some complex concepts which will definitely be of benefit to them during the remainder of their time at John Warner and beyond into their adult lives.

Sixth Form Induction

Our prospective Year 12 students have been in school today for our Sixth Form Induction programme. Students have been engaging in a range of subject specific taster lessons along with workshops focusing on their study skills and their future goals and aspirations. It was great to see so many students back in school, enjoying their first taste of life in the Sixth Form, and working hard to prepare themselves for the start of Year 12 in September.

Year 13 Leavers Prom

On Wednesday 29th June 2022 our Year 13 students attended their Leavers Prom to celebrate the end of their time at John Warner. With their examinations all finished, this annual event was the perfect way to meet up with friends and staff and enjoy an evening of celebration. Getting their glad rags on and hitting the dance floor, the students partied the night away in style.

Generation Broxbourne Careers Fair

On Wednesday 15th June 2022 our Year 12 students attended the Generation Broxbourne Careers event at the Spotlight Theatre. This event was organised by the Borough of Broxbourne to promote local and regional apprenticeship and employment opportunities. There were a wide range of companies and sectors represented ranging from retail, manufacture, media, construction, public services and many more. The students all gained a great deal of information and advice about upcoming opportunities and how to enhance their applications. They were also able to make some industry specific contacts which will certainly prove invaluable in the future.
